Mountain Forge provided the impressive ironwork, and granite, marble and travertine were sourced from many areas, including Italy and Turkey. The main floor is Scabos travertine imported by Decorium from Turkey. Interior wood selection includes knotty alder cabinets and 1-3/4" doors, clear alder closets, solid pine slab stair risers, clear vertical grain fir and pine ceilings and wainscoting. Upstairs hardwood floors are Amish hand scraped hickory. A central vacuum system with dust trays in bathrooms and kitchen and full fire and security system provide convenience and security. Hydronic in-floor heat serves the main level, all bathrooms throughout the house, the garage, and the exterior entryway in addition to forced air and a re-circulating system upstairs.

The exterior is Western Red Cedar board and bat with shake shingles, log and stone accents and a composition roof. More than 60 tons of steel include provision for open space from the living room through the kitchen. The basement is sealed cement, providing a moisture- and varmint-free enclosure. Remote- controlled skylights provide additional light on the bedroom level, and spacious windows are low-e glass for heat retention in winter. Architect: Thomas E. Taylor; Builder: Sevison Construction. Interior Designer: Poetic Interiors of Oakland, CA.
